Spinlock is an independent and innovative company based in Cowes, UK, the 'Home of Yachting'. Spinlock has over forty years; experience of designing and manufacturing for the marine sector. Spinlock began as Offshore Instruments in 1968 based in London moving to Cowes in 1976 to the current Head Office in Birmingham Road which originally housed the production, offices and flat. The Company developed a market-leading range of rope control devices using new materials and volume-oriented processes, leveraged from the emergence of high tensile fibre ropes, the company changing its name in the 1980s to Spinlock to better reflect this new direction.
